Turner Moving & Storage can typically pack a single-family home in one to three days, depending on the home’s size and the amount of belongings you have. A professional packing crew can quickly and efficiently complete what might take you weeks on your own. Smaller homes or apartments are often finished in just a few hours.

Having a licensed and insured moving company is crucial for a stress-free move. Turner Moving & Storage cannot pack or transport hazardous materials, including flammable liquids, propane tanks, paint, chemicals, ammunition and perishable foods. Federal moving regulations prohibit these items for safety reasons.

We also cannot move plants during long-distance moves, and we strongly recommend that you transport valuable items such as jewelry, important documents, and cash yourself for security.

Turner Moving & Storage offers unpacking services where their team will unpack your boxes, place items in appropriate rooms and remove packing materials from your home, helping you settle in quickly after your move. We also can provide basic organizing assistance to get your kitchen, bathrooms, and other spaces functional right away, though full interior design services are typically handled separately.

We also offer professional furniture disassembly and reassembly services. Our experienced movers have the tools and expertise to safely disassemble beds, desks, entertainment centers, and other large pieces of furniture, then rebuild them in your new home.

Turner Moving & Storage recommends you book our packing services at least two to four weeks in advance, especially during peak moving season from May through September, when demand is highest in Napa, Solano and Sonoma counties. While it’s not strictly necessary to be home the entire time Turner Moving & Storage’s packing team is working, it’s recommended that you or a trusted representative be present at the start to provide instructions and to answer questions throughout the day.
