Moving to American Canyon

American Canyon is known as the Gateway to the Napa Valley and is colloquially called “AmCan”. The city is roughly a 15-minute drive from Napa itself, where you can find a plethora of world-class vineyards, wineries, and restaurants. You can choose to explore these via the California Winery Shuttles and Tours. The city is a 45-minute drive from San Francisco and an hour away from the ocean.

In American Canyon itself, there are many exciting things to do. If you like parks, the American Canyon Wetlands Trail and Lynch Canyon Open Space are great for hiking and bird-watching. Elliot Park includes many amenities, including basketball and tennis courts, a playground, and a community garden. For dog owners, the American Canyon Dog Park is a grassy enclosure with plenty of room for dogs to run and a playground for kids to stretch their legs.

For shopping enthusiasts, there are several different options. Canyon Plaza is a shopping center that hosts small businesses. The Highway 29 Swap Meet is an eclectic collection of items from clothes and jewelry to comic books, furniture, fresh produce, and more. The Napa-Vallejo Flea Market is open Sundays, year-round.

If you enjoy visiting farms, you’ll want to make sure to stop by the American Canyon Strawberries patch. Don’t be fooled by the name; they also grow blueberries, apricots, cherries, garlic, and onions. You should also visit Marshall’s Farm Honey for a raw, unfiltered authentic honey experience.

As if that weren’t enough, American Canyon is filled with even more activities. In this quaint city, you can explore the arts, paintball, a skate park, horseback riding, and a casino.

The whole procss with Turner Moving & Storage has been smooth as silk! First an appraiser came to the house to see what we would be moving and a date... was scheduled. Because our new home was not yet ready to move into, Turner Moving worked with us to change our plan and arranged to store our items until a later date.On moving day, Brandon, Russ, Juan and Abraham arrived on time with the moving vans. They walked through the house with me for an overview on what to pack and what not to pack, then they got busy! It was amazing to watch them work! They were all so pleasant and, if they were unsure about something, they came to me and asked for verification, something that I greatly appreciated!The first day was packing boxes. The next day the trucks were loaded. The guys went the extra mile by loading up the outdoor furniture in the back of the truck and delivering it to the new house where they carried it UP all the stairs and placed it around the pool! Turner Moving fulfilled all my expectations. The move went as scheduled with no issues. Their local team and driver are the best, with the four men loading the truck accomplishing the task in less than 5 hours. Nothing was damaged, broken or lost. From the estimators visit, to the office staff, to the driver, everyone worked together and checked on us every step of the way to guarantee success. After reading reviews and not finding a single negative one, I knew I had found the right company and did not look any further. We moved from California to Michigan and so it was a costly move, but one I felt was fairly priced.

I completely agree with 2024 posts. There is very little that is as stressful as moving across the country. Turner Moving owners and staff were more than helpful very knowledgeable and professional.
