How to Avoid Moving Brokers

Even when looking for office movers, there are moving brokers out there trying to make as much money off of you as possible. It can be difficult to decipher which Napa Valley office movers are legitimate and which are the brokers. Here are some of the things to look out for:

License Number: Your potential mover should have this listed at the bottom of their website. Check out the details using the USDOT Lookup.
Address: Look for an address on their website and search it on your online map. Getting a street view will let you quickly see if its a real moving company.
Big Deposits: Always avoid big deposits. Most movers don’t ask for a deposit, and only some ask for a small “Good Faith” deposit. This is a big red flag.

The whole procss with Turner Moving & Storage has been smooth as silk! First an appraiser came to the house to see what we would be moving and a date... was scheduled. Because our new home was not yet ready to move into, Turner Moving worked with us to change our plan and arranged to store our items until a later date.On moving day, Brandon, Russ, Juan and Abraham arrived on time with the moving vans. They walked through the house with me for an overview on what to pack and what not to pack, then they got busy! It was amazing to watch them work! They were all so pleasant and, if they were unsure about something, they came to me and asked for verification, something that I greatly appreciated!The first day was packing boxes. The next day the trucks were loaded. The guys went the extra mile by loading up the outdoor furniture in the back of the truck and delivering it to the new house where they carried it UP all the stairs and placed it around the pool! In my opinion they went above and beyond and they were so wonderful to work with!Everyone was just wonderful to work with and incredibly responsive, (Joel who came out to do the estimate, Shalyn who handles the office and communication and all the movers), and I am so happy that we chose Turner Moving and Storage to handle our move!read more

Turner Moving fulfilled all my expectations. The move went as scheduled with no issues. Their local team and driver are the best, with the four men loading the truck accomplishing the task in less than 5 hours. Nothing was damaged, broken or lost. From the estimators visit, to the office staff, to the driver, everyone worked together and checked on us every step of the way to guarantee success. After reading reviews and not finding a single negative one, I knew I had found the right company and did not look any further. We moved from California to Michigan and so it was a costly move, but one I felt was fairly priced.
